Acupuncture is a method of placing sterilized disposable needles in the skin where the Qi (energy) in the channels comes closest to the surface. With acupuncture, the channels stay clear and open allowing the free flow of Qi in the body.

Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim)

E-Stim is a method of attaching electrical nodes to the ends of the needles while they are in the body. This method strengthens the effect of the needles and is widely used in pain therapy.

Mei Zen Acupuncture System

Laser Therapy

Laser Therapy is used to stimulate acupuncture points and move energy and blood in the body just like a needle would, but with no pain. This type of laser works great for chronic conditions such as pain. This laser also treats many types of deficient conditions such as fatigue.

Light Therapy

Light energy provides powerful support to the body’s natural healing processes. LED light energy, delivered via light emitting diodes at various wavelengths, penetrated tissue at different depths, and is naturally absorbed by the cells to assist in the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), energy required for cell repair and regeneration. LED light energy application also facilitates the release of Nitric Oxide, a natural response, supporting the body with improved circulation. Improved circulation is one of the most vital components of the healing process.

Cupping

Cupping is a method of placing a suction cup on the skin. The suction may be done with a flame in a glass cup before placing on the skin or by using a suction tube. This method brings the blood to the surface to promote healing. This method is primarily used for pain.

Massage

Massage works therapeutically for the relief of stress and most types of pain, especially back pain. Massages are offered for 60 or 90 minutes.

Herbal Medicine

Powder Form

Custom formulas are a mixture of individual herbs for your particular disease and symptoms at this time. They may be adjusted at each treatment based on response to the last treatment and current symptoms. Custom formulas are preferred and only come in the powdered form. These formulas are mixed with hot water and drank like a tea. Powders are taken 2-3 times a day.

Patents (Pills/Tablets)

Patents are pre-formed so they cannot be customized. A formula will be chosen to match your disease and current symptoms as closely as possible. Patents are taken 2-3 times a day.

Topicals

Topicals are creams, liquids, or patches that are applied directly to the skin. These are usually used for skin diseases, pain management, or used for warming the muscles.
